Ladies are asking questions about men. They’re struggling to find true love, so they want to know what’s happening. What’s wrong with the men? They’re asking questions…but are they listening to the answers?
Let’s start with this New York Post article. Time after time, what we see are headlines, posts, and videos highlighting just the dumbest of the dumb, the loudest minority, or the stupid sexy people whose opinions make no sense at all.
I know…a lot of us Christian Men who are looking for wives aren’t having a lot of success being the “Good Men” we were raised to. So, so it’s easy to hear advice from Fresh and Fit or the Whatever Podcast and tell yourself, “Oh…that’s the kind of guy I need to be. Not this chivalrous gentleman opening doors and buying her flowers. I need to make her work for all that!”
Long story short…be yourselves, fellas. If you change/pretend to be someone you’re not just to get the girl, eventually the facade will fade, and she’ll see you for who you are. More importantly, as men, it’s our duty to lead.
The Passport Bros isn’t just a fad. It’s growing. More and more men are fed up with the modern progressive woman, so they’re grabbing their passports and going overseas to find more “good traditional women”.
That sounds great. I get it. But from what I’m seeing, there’s just one issue that makes me cringe every time I see a video about the Passport Bros and how much “fun” they’re having with their so-called traditional women in places like Thailand, Brazil, or Colombia…are those ladies really “traditional”? Do these men really want “traditional” women? Or are they seeking something else?
For those who don’t know, the Passport Bros began as a few select men started making posts about their travels overseas where they’ve met women who they felt were far more pleasant than the stereotypical western American woman. They believed that by seeking out foreign women, they can find a more authentic, fulfilling, and harmonious relationship.
Here, I expound on the second of eight main points I’ve personally observed to help explain how one thing after another has sabotaged (ruined) my generation. And at the end of each section, I’ll try my best to provide a solution because, I know…these sound like excuses. But I haven’t given up. I still have faith.
1. The Hook-Up Culture (Non-Monogamous Dating) 2. Tinder (Dating Apps) 3. Cat-Calling and False Accusations 4. Gynocentrism 5. Brett Kavanaugh and Weaponizing Women 6. The Rise of the Manosphere 7. The Sisterhood 8. Leaving Christianity at the Door
I’ll never forget back in 2012, when a girl vying for my interest told me about Tinder. With a smile on her face, she said:
“Rock, have you heard of this app called Tinder?”
“No, what is it?”
“It’s a dating app that basically shows you the location of people in your area who want to have sex with you. You just pull it up, and if you check them off and they check you off, you can meet and have sex.”
This is the first of eight posts explaining how my generation of dating is not our father’s or grandfather’s generation.
Why am I doing this? First off, you should know that there are millennials who are fortunate enough to find their partners and get married. These Millennials are blessed and likely have no idea what’s going on…which also means they probably don’t care and have a “sucks to be you” mentality…until they’re single again and are hit with the same reality rest of us have to deal with.
Secondly, this is for the ladies who are still surprised about things like how men have stopped “making the first move”. Or why we don’t approach like we used to. They’ll say things like, “where have all the good men gone?” or “Whatever happened to chivalry” as if no one’s been watching the news for the past ten-fifteen years.
And lastly, this is for the Older Generation, the Boomers, the Gen-Xers, and even some Millennials who are so far removed from commons folk, like Sen. Josh Hawley here, talking about how Men need to step up and marry these girls. Again, it’s like they have no idea about what’s been going on.
So…came across one of Melanie King’s videos where, once again, a lady’s confirming what a lot of guys have been saying about the dating culture these days. But don’t worry. I’m also going to hit at Male Leadership and why we as Christians need to stand firm.
In the beginning of the video, the soon-to-be divorced woman says, “you can’t dress a certain way and you can’t post sexy pictures on social media. But I dressed a certain way when I first met you!”…she says this to complain that her husband was “controlling”.
Couple of thoughts here. First, you could say that this is just who she is, sexual and sensual, and a man has no right to change her. “WOMEN AREN’T DRESSED TO IMPRESS YOU! WE DRESS LIKE THIS BECAUSE IT MAKES US HAPPY!”
Right, if you’re in that camp, this essay ain’t for you. I’m talking to the real ones out here who respect straight-forward honesty. I’m talking to the ladies who know they dress a certain way and posts pictures WITH THE INTENT of getting attention, attracting a mate. This doesn’t have to mean slutty or half-naked pictures…but come on. I’ve seen many of sistahs fully clothed in dresses that tell me everything I need to know and I’m like…
Don’t worry, this is gonna be lighthearted and easy. Feel free to comment and poke fun. It goes out to all the tall guys out there who went their whole lives not knowing that being tall was something Women liked about you. For those who aren’t tall…hopefully this gives you a different perspective.
Women like tall men…Is that a myth? Or is it true? The subject came up during a Youtube discussion where I said that I can’t do the “Cold Approach” and mentioned that I’m 6’3, 235lbs (among many other reasons).
A Commenter asked, “You can’t cold approach because you think your size intimidates women?”
Another one followed up with, “I am 5’9.5 being 6’3 is a plus in the dating market.”
This isn’t the first time I’ve been met with such skepticism. Nowadays, it’s out in the open. More and more women are upfront and honest about their desire for tall guys. It’s on their dating profiles. They put it in the comments section. Everyone wants it. They’re looking for men six feet or taller.
So…maybe it’s just me. Maybe it’s just my rotten luck in life. Maybe it’s because I’m so ugly that it cancels out the fact that I am indeed taller than most men. But for the life of me, I never knew my height was such a desirable thing until a few years ago. I’m 35.
Now, before I get into the dating side of it, allow me to share what it was like growing up as one of the tallest dudes in the room. In the above picture, I was already the tallest in my family when I was 15.
I had a conversation with Marisol…the 34-year-old Atheist on my boss’s old radio show. I said I’d be willing to date a woman as young as 18, not that I’d prioritize dating someone so young, but that I was willing to. She was shocked.
That’s when Marisol said, “wouldn’t you like a woman with more experience, and someone you had more in common with? I mean, don’t you like intelligent women?”
The thing is…more and more, intelligence is starting to sound like a subjective matter. A career bank-robber can have intelligence to successfully pull off a heist but is incredibly stupid when it comes to thinking the law won’t catch up with them and they’ll have to serve time.
In regard to Marisol’s question…this is going to sound extremely vain, but it’s my honest thoughts and I don’t particularly think I’m wrong.
