My Insecurity: “You’re Not that Important”

Let me start by saying I’m a firm believer in the notion of, “the only one you can control is yourself.”

That being said, I’m aware that it is possible to get people to feel/think/do what you want them to by game, influence, and manipulation. It is possible to convince others to love you, prioritize you, or to like you. If I wanted to, I could do all of this. And yet, I refuse.

If you were to ask me why, I don’t ever think I could respect people like that. It’s like those clips where a guy walks up to a woman, tries to talk to her, she blows him off like he’s no big deal until she sees that he’s driving a Maserati. Then, all the sudden, she hurries over to get his attention. Now, all the sudden she’s interested.

Christian Dating: Is it a Deal Breaker if We Don’t Go to Church?

Recently, a new woman entered my life. And one of the first things she asked me was, “Is it a deal breaker if we don’t go to church?”

I’m going to talk about that and this notion of dating someone who’s “Spiritual but not Religious.”

Is Angel Reese Coddled by the Black Media?

For who don’t know, LSU superstar Angel Reese became the subject of controversy after her post-loss conference where she complained and portrayed herself as a victim.

FoxSports commentator Emmanuel Acho criticized her for making herself the villain. And that’s when all hell broke loose. A lot of Black Women went to Tiktok to put Acho in his place. And in his place, Acho went. He acquiesced and bowed to the woke outrage.

There’s a lot to unpack here. The main thing I’m going to focus on, however, is that it’s difficult to be treated and respected as an equal…while at the same time people think you need to be handled like a child.

Is “Christ is King” Really Hate-Speech Now?

Is “Christ is King” Really Hate-Speech Now?

For those who don’t know, Candace Owens was released from the Daily Wire and the prevailing theory as to why, is because Candace expressed that “Christ is King” and some people think that’s antisemitic.

First off, I want to make it clear that you’re reading the words of a committed Christian. I really do view Jesus as my Lord and Savior and, like a modern-day knight of honor, I strive to obey the words of him and his Apostles to the best of my ability.

Secondly…I have a great deal of respect for Jewish people. The Bible was written by Jews. Some of my heroes like David, Jeremiah, Hannah, and Elijah were all Jewish or Hebrew. Jesus Christ was Jewish from the line of David. When Oct 7th went down, I wrote a passionate essay calling out those who were harassing and persecuting Jewish people in America.

I’m pointing this out because, cutting to the chase…claiming that someone is antisemitic simply because they declare “Christ is King” is a trumped-up charge that’s one-step away from trying to get the person canceled.

Hollywood’s Mission to Break Down Morality

Critical Drinker’s video about Disney’s “the Acolyte” was really impressive in so many ways. I don’t know if he’s Christian or not, but this guy definitely understands what’s happening.

In the video, Critical Drinker, a well-respected writer and film critic with over a million subscribers, questions Hollywood’s direction with their recent slew of movies. He asks:

“Why are they trying to dupe people into thinking that nothing is intrinsically good or bad, that morality and objective reality don’t actually exist, and everything comes down to what you personally feel? It’s almost like once you stop people from believing in anything, then they’ll eventually come to accept everything.”

Can God Save Women? – Answering Pearl Davis

Recently, Pearl Davis of Red Pill fame published a video called, “Can God Save Modern Women?”

As she began her case, I was surprised to hear about her Christian background. Apparently, she went to a Catholic school and has an extensive Christian upbringing. And yet, she has a lot a criticism when it comes to whether Modern Women are any better in the church.

Why It’s Enticing for Black Men to Convert to Islam

Recently, the boxer known as Gervonta “Tank” Davis converted to Islam and took on the name of Abdul Wahid. Some people claimed he was doing it for clout. But I dunno. Even as a Christian, I’d be lying if I didn’t say there are some enticing reasons to convert to Islam.

Points Discussed

  • Christians Give Christians a Bad Name
  • They Defend their Faith
  • Muslim Women Respect the Men
  • They Embrace the Patriarchy
  • Men Need Purpose
  • Brotherhood
  • Test of Faith

First off, I want to make it clear that the purpose of this essay isn’t to talk bad or disrespect Muslims or Islam. The crux of this post, as is with most of my essays…is to call upon other Christians to repent.

Now right there, you might be scratching your head a bit. If we call ourselves Christians, why do we need to repent? I thought that being a Christian means that we have already repented. So, what gives?

Jesus Didn’t Teach Hate – He Taught Diversity and Inclusion?

Recently, the “He Gets Us” producers aired a Jesus Christ commercial during the Super Bowl where we have a montage of different people washing the feet of others. At the end, the slogan is, “Jesus Didn’t Teach Hate.”

Sounds like a positive message, doesn’t it. What’s wrong with that? I’ve even talked to some Christians who were happy with the Ad, saying, “I’m just glad they’re talking about Jesus during the Super Bowl. It’s a good start.”

Is it, though?

Why You NEED Christians Who Are “Holier than Thou”

Alright…last one. This is part four of the reasons why we need to abolish this fear of being called “judgemental” in 2024. Because all it’s doing is silencing those who should be speaking up, while enabling those who need to hear the Truth.

In this thrilling conclusion, I’m going to explain why you shouldn’t be afraid or look down on the Christians who YOU THINK are holier than thou. These might be the very same people who have a hand in saving your life.

Sure, some can be annoying. Some people don’t know the meaning of discretion, time and place. And when you really do love your sinful behavior, when you just want to relax, take it easy and not care about how God feels about every little thing…these Christians can be infuriating. I get it. So, let’s talk about it.

How Christians Use “Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged” the Wrong Way

This is Part Three of my series where I set out to abolish the fear so many Christians have of being called Judgmental. It’s making Christians look bad. It’s giving Atheists and Agnostics good reasons to reject Christ. And it’s silencing those who should be speaking up, while enabling those who need to hear the truth.

First off…let’s go ahead and address a major fallacy with “Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged!” You guys know you’re still going to be judged, right?
