    I’m glad to see that you have looked into the history of Christianity and know that you are taking the Arian position. European Christianity fought–and I mean fought with armies—for most of the Fourth Century over this issue, as the possession of the Emperor’s office varied back and forth between orthodox (Athanasian) and Arian emperors, and even briefly (361-363 CE) a pagan–Julian “the Apostate.” Each time the Emperor’s allegiance shifted, opposing bishops and clergy were killed or exiled. It was a truly bad time for the Church.
